Paul's Barn

My father was newly retired, with a lot of time on his hands, right around the time when Paul became very busy building paddocks on his bedroom floor

and desk,

and when Paul started to make all kinds of miniature scenes featuring horses

and miniature barns.

Seeing an opportunity, my father embarked on a project.

What a beautiful barn!  Little Sarah was the only member of our family small enough to visit.

The barn features a removable hayloft

for easy play!

  4. Thank you all so much! My Dad made a barn for me, too, when I was young, so I'll have to find and post photos of that someday too. Actually, I could even take some new photos of it. Paul still plays with that barn, which is traditional scale, when he is at my parents house.

Oh Jennifer, those rattie hattie pics are coming! I had almost all of these photos for several months already (and our darling little Sarah, who was ancient, is very sadly no longer with us) but darn it, the hat would have been perfect for an in-barn rat shot! We now have Butters, Bella, Tracy and Katie. Who will be the first rat to get photographed in the hat???

  5. You have FOUR rattie girls now?! That's even more than me! I guess you need more rat hats.
